Literally And on the wing (will come) the abomination that causes desolation, or And on the wing of abominations (will come) one who causes desolation,
Literally until the decreed consummation is poured out upon (him who) is desolate.
King James Version
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
World English Bible
He will make a firm covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. On the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate; and even to the decreed full end, wrath will be poured out on the desolate.”

Daniel 9:25–27 · Berean Standard Bible
25 Know and understand this: From the issuance of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, until the Messiah, the Prince, there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of distress.
26 Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and will have nothing. Then the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood, and until the end there will be war; desolations have been decreed.
27 And he will confirm a covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of the temple will come the abomination that causes desolation, until the decreed destruction is poured out upon him.”

Romans 5:15But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many!
Romans 5:19For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
Romans 15:8For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises made to the patriarchs,
Romans 15:9so that the Gentiles may glorify God for His mercy. As it is written: “Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles; I will sing hymns to Your name.”
Galatians 3:13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
Galatians 3:14He redeemed us in order that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
Galatians 3:15Brothers, let me put this in human terms. Even a human covenant, once it is ratified, cannot be canceled or amended.
Galatians 3:16The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say, “and to seeds,” meaning many, but “and to your seed,” meaning One, who is Christ.
Galatians 3:17What I mean is this: The law that came 430 years later does not revoke the covenant previously established by God, so as to nullify the promise.
Hebrews 6:13When God made His promise to Abraham, since He had no one greater to swear by, He swore by Himself,
Hebrews 6:14saying, “I will surely bless you and multiply your descendants.”
Hebrews 6:15And so Abraham, after waiting patiently, obtained the promise.
Hebrews 6:16Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and their oath serves as a confirmation to end all argument.
Hebrews 6:17So when God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath.
Hebrews 6:18Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged.
Hebrews 8:8But God found fault with the people and said: “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
Hebrews 8:9It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not abide by My covenant, and I disregarded them, declares the Lord.
Hebrews 8:10For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their minds and inscribe them on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be My people.
Hebrews 8:11No longer will each one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest.
Hebrews 8:12For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.”
Hebrews 8:13By speaking of a new covenant, He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.
Hebrews 9:15Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that He has died to redeem them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
Hebrews 9:16In the case of a will, it is necessary to establish the death of the one who made it,
Hebrews 9:17because a will does not take effect until the one who made it has died; it cannot be executed while he is still alive.
Hebrews 9:18That is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.
Hebrews 9:19For when Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people,
Hebrews 9:20saying, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”
Hebrews 9:28so also Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him.
Hebrews 10:16“This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord. I will put My laws in their hearts and inscribe them on their minds.”
Hebrews 10:17Then He adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”
Hebrews 10:18And where these have been forgiven, an offering for sin is no longer needed.
Hebrews 13:20Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,
Hebrews 13:21equip you with every good thing to do His will. And may He accomplish in us what is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Matthew 27:51At that moment the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.
Hebrews 10:4because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
Hebrews 10:5Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You prepared for Me.
Hebrews 10:6In burnt offerings and sin offerings You took no delight.
Hebrews 10:7Then I said, ‘Here I am, it is written about Me in the scroll: I have come to do Your will, O God.’”
Hebrews 10:8In the passage above He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor did You delight in them” (although they are offered according to the law).
Hebrews 10:9Then He adds, “Here I am, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second.
Hebrews 10:10And by that will, we have been sanctified through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:11Day after day every priest stands to minister and to offer again and again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
Hebrews 10:12But when this Priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God.
Hebrews 10:13Since that time, He waits for His enemies to be made a footstool for His feet,
Hebrews 10:14because by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified.
Hebrews 10:15The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First He says:
Hebrews 10:19Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
Hebrews 10:20by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of His body,
Hebrews 10:21and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
Hebrews 10:22let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Daniel 11:36Then the king will do as he pleases and will exalt and magnify himself above every god, and he will speak monstrous things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been decreed must be accomplished.
Daniel 12:11And from the time the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation set up, there will be 1,290 days.

Isaiah 10:23For the Lord GOD of Hosts will carry out the destruction decreed upon the whole land.
Isaiah 28:22So now, do not mock, or your shackles will become heavier. Indeed, I have heard from the Lord GOD of Hosts a decree of destruction against the whole land.
Matthew 24:15So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination of desolation,’ described by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand),
Mark 13:14So when you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Luke 21:20But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, you will know that her desolation is near.
Luke 21:24They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations. And Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
Romans 11:26And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come from Zion; He will remove godlessness from Jacob.
Leviticus 26:14If, however, you fail to obey Me and to carry out all these commandments,
Leviticus 26:15and if you reject My statutes, despise My ordinances, and neglect to carry out all My commandments, and so break My covenant,
Leviticus 26:16then this is what I will do to you: I will bring upon you sudden terror, wasting disease, and fever that will destroy your sight and drain your life. You will sow your seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it.
Leviticus 26:17And I will set My face against you, so that you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one pursues you.
Leviticus 26:18And if after all this you will not obey Me, I will proceed to punish you sevenfold for your sins.
Leviticus 26:19I will break down your stubborn pride and make your sky like iron and your land like bronze,
Leviticus 26:20and your strength will be spent in vain. For your land will not yield its produce, and the trees of the land will not bear their fruit.
Leviticus 26:21If you walk in hostility toward Me and refuse to obey Me, I will multiply your plagues seven times, according to your sins.
Leviticus 26:22I will send wild animals against you to rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and reduce your numbers, until your roads lie desolate.
Leviticus 26:23And if in spite of these things you do not accept My discipline, but continue to walk in hostility toward Me,
Leviticus 26:24then I will act with hostility toward you, and I will strike you sevenfold for your sins.
Leviticus 26:25And I will bring a sword against you to execute the vengeance of the covenant. Though you withdraw into your cities, I will send a plague among you, and you will be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
Leviticus 26:26When I cut off your supply of bread, ten women will bake your bread in a single oven and dole out your bread by weight, so that you will eat but not be satisfied.
Leviticus 26:27But if in spite of all this you do not obey Me, but continue to walk in hostility toward Me,
Leviticus 26:28then I will walk in fury against you, and I, even I, will punish you sevenfold for your sins.
Leviticus 26:29You will eat the flesh of your own sons and daughters.
Leviticus 26:30I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars, and heap your lifeless bodies on the lifeless remains of your idols; and My soul will despise you.
Leviticus 26:31I will reduce your cities to rubble and lay waste your sanctuaries, and I will refuse to smell the pleasing aroma of your sacrifices.
Leviticus 26:32And I will lay waste the land, so that your enemies who dwell in it will be appalled.
Leviticus 26:33But I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out a sword after you as your land becomes desolate and your cities are laid waste.
Leviticus 26:34Then the land shall enjoy its Sabbaths all the days it lies desolate, while you are in the land of your enemies. At that time the land will rest and enjoy its Sabbaths.
Leviticus 26:35As long as it lies desolate, the land will have the rest it did not receive during the Sabbaths when you lived in it.
Leviticus 26:36As for those of you who survive, I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, so that even the sound of a windblown leaf will put them to flight. And they will flee as one flees the sword, and fall when no one pursues them.
Leviticus 26:37They will stumble over one another as before the sword, though no one is behind them. So you will not be able to stand against your enemies.
Leviticus 26:38You will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will consume you.
Leviticus 26:39Those of you who survive in the lands of your enemies will waste away in their iniquity and will decay in the sins of their fathers.
Leviticus 26:40But if they will confess their iniquity and that of their fathers in the unfaithfulness that they practiced against Me, by which they have also walked in hostility toward Me—
Leviticus 26:41and I acted with hostility toward them and brought them into the land of their enemies—and if their uncircumcised hearts will be humbled and they will make amends for their iniquity,
Leviticus 26:42then I will remember My covenant with Jacob and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.
Leviticus 26:43For the land will be abandoned by them, and it will enjoy its Sabbaths by lying desolate without them. And they will pay the penalty for their iniquity, because they rejected My ordinances and abhorred My statutes.
Leviticus 26:44Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject or despise them so as to destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God.
Leviticus 26:45But for their sake I will remember the covenant with their fathers, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am the LORD.”
Leviticus 26:46These are the statutes, ordinances, and laws that the LORD established between Himself and the Israelites through Moses on Mount Sinai.
Deuteronomy 4:26I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live long upon it, but will be utterly destroyed.

Deuteronomy 4:28And there you will serve man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell.
Deuteronomy 28:15If, however, you do not obey the LORD your God by carefully following all His commandments and statutes I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
Deuteronomy 28:16You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.
Deuteronomy 28:17Your basket and kneading bowl will be cursed.
Deuteronomy 28:18The fruit of your womb will be cursed, as well as the produce of your land, the calves of your herds, and the lambs of your flocks.
Deuteronomy 28:19You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.
Deuteronomy 28:20The LORD will send curses upon you, confusion and reproof in all to which you put your hand, until you are destroyed and quickly perish because of the wickedness you have committed in forsaking Him.
Deuteronomy 28:21The LORD will make the plague cling to you until He has exterminated you from the land that you are entering to possess.
Deuteronomy 28:22The LORD will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, and with blight and mildew; these will pursue you until you perish.
Deuteronomy 28:23The sky over your head will be bronze, and the earth beneath you iron.
Deuteronomy 28:24The LORD will turn the rain of your land into dust and powder; it will descend on you from the sky until you are destroyed.
Deuteronomy 28:25The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will march out against them in one direction but flee from them in seven. You will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
Deuteronomy 28:26Your corpses will be food for all the birds of the air and beasts of the earth, with no one to scare them away.
Deuteronomy 28:27The LORD will afflict you with the boils of Egypt, with tumors and scabs and itch from which you cannot be cured.
Deuteronomy 28:28The LORD will afflict you with madness, blindness, and confusion of mind,
Deuteronomy 28:29and at noon you will grope about like a blind man in the darkness. You will not prosper in your ways. Day after day you will be oppressed and plundered, with no one to save you.
Deuteronomy 28:30You will be pledged in marriage to a woman, but another man will violate her. You will build a house but will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard but will not enjoy its fruit.
Deuteronomy 28:31Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will not eat any of it. Your donkey will be taken away and not returned to you. Your flock will be given to your enemies, and no one will save you.
Deuteronomy 28:32Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, while your eyes grow weary looking for them day after day, with no power in your hand.
Deuteronomy 28:33A people you do not know will eat the produce of your land and of all your toil. All your days you will be oppressed and crushed.
Deuteronomy 28:34You will be driven mad by the sights you see.
Deuteronomy 28:35The LORD will afflict you with painful, incurable boils on your knees and thighs, from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.
Deuteronomy 28:36The LORD will bring you and the king you appoint to a nation neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone.
Deuteronomy 28:37You will become an object of horror, scorn, and ridicule among all the nations to which the LORD will drive you.
Deuteronomy 28:38You will sow much seed in the field but harvest little, because the locusts will consume it.
Deuteronomy 28:39You will plant and cultivate vineyards, but will neither drink the wine nor gather the grapes, because worms will eat them.
Deuteronomy 28:40You will have olive trees throughout your territory but will never anoint yourself with oil, because the olives will drop off.
Deuteronomy 28:41You will father sons and daughters, but they will not remain yours, because they will go into captivity.
Deuteronomy 28:42Swarms of locusts will consume all your trees and the produce of your land.
Deuteronomy 28:43The foreigner living among you will rise higher and higher above you, while you sink down lower and lower.
Deuteronomy 28:44He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him. He will be the head, and you will be the tail.
Deuteronomy 28:45All these curses will come upon you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, since you did not obey the LORD your God and keep the commandments and statutes He gave you.
Deuteronomy 28:46These curses will be a sign and a wonder upon you and your descendants forever.
Deuteronomy 28:47Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart in all your abundance,
Deuteronomy 28:48you will serve your enemies the LORD will send against you in famine, thirst, nakedness, and destitution. He will place an iron yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you.
Deuteronomy 28:49The LORD will bring a nation from afar, from the ends of the earth, to swoop down upon you like an eagle—a nation whose language you will not understand,
Deuteronomy 28:50a ruthless nation with no respect for the old and no pity for the young.
Deuteronomy 28:51They will eat the offspring of your livestock and the produce of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain or new wine or oil, no calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks, until they have caused you to perish.
Deuteronomy 28:52They will besiege all the cities throughout your land, until the high and fortified walls in which you trust have fallen. They will besiege all your cities throughout the land that the LORD your God has given you.
Deuteronomy 28:53Then you will eat the fruit of your womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters whom the LORD your God has given you, in the siege and distress that your enemy will inflict on you.
Deuteronomy 28:54The most gentle and refined man among you will begrudge his brother, the wife he embraces, and the rest of his children who have survived,
Deuteronomy 28:55refusing to share with any of them the flesh of his children he will eat because he has nothing left in the siege and distress that your enemy will inflict on you within all your gates.
Deuteronomy 28:56The most gentle and refined woman among you, so gentle and refined she would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground, will begrudge the husband she embraces and her son and daughter
Deuteronomy 28:57the afterbirth that comes from between her legs and the children she bears, because she will secretly eat them for lack of anything else in the siege and distress that your enemy will inflict on you within your gates.
Deuteronomy 28:58If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law which are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name—the LORD your God—
Deuteronomy 28:59He will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary disasters, severe and lasting plagues, and terrible and chronic sicknesses.
Deuteronomy 28:60He will afflict you again with all the diseases you dreaded in Egypt, and they will cling to you.
Deuteronomy 28:61The LORD will also bring upon you every sickness and plague not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.
Deuteronomy 28:62You who were as numerous as the stars in the sky will be left few in number, because you would not obey the voice of the LORD your God.
Deuteronomy 28:63Just as it pleased the LORD to make you prosper and multiply, so also it will please Him to annihilate you and destroy you. And you will be uprooted from the land you are entering to possess.
Deuteronomy 28:64Then the LORD will scatter you among all the nations, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known.
Deuteronomy 28:65Among those nations you will find no repose, not even a resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and a despairing soul.
Deuteronomy 28:66So your life will hang in doubt before you, and you will be afraid night and day, never certain of survival.
Deuteronomy 28:67In the morning you will say, ‘If only it were evening!’ and in the evening you will say, ‘If only it were morning!’—because of the dread in your hearts of the terrifying sights you will see.
Deuteronomy 28:68The LORD will return you to Egypt in ships by a route that I said you should never see again. There you will sell yourselves to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.”
Deuteronomy 29:18Make sure there is no man or woman, clan or tribe among you today whose heart turns away from the LORD our God to go and worship the gods of those nations. Make sure there is no root among you that bears such poisonous and bitter fruit,
Deuteronomy 29:19because when such a person hears the words of this oath, he invokes a blessing on himself, saying, ‘I will have peace, even though I walk in the stubbornness of my own heart.’ This will bring disaster on the watered land as well as the dry.
Deuteronomy 29:20The LORD will never be willing to forgive him. Instead, His anger and jealousy will burn against that man, and every curse written in this book will fall upon him. The LORD will blot out his name from under heaven
Deuteronomy 29:21and single him out from all the tribes of Israel for disaster, according to all the curses of the covenant written in this Book of the Law.
Deuteronomy 29:22Then the generation to come—your sons who follow you and the foreigner who comes from a distant land—will see the plagues of the land and the sicknesses the LORD has inflicted on it.
Deuteronomy 29:23All its soil will be a burning waste of sulfur and salt, unsown and unproductive, with no plant growing on it, just like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in His fierce anger.
Deuteronomy 29:24So all the nations will ask, ‘Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land? Why this great outburst of anger?’
Deuteronomy 29:25And the people will answer, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.
Deuteronomy 29:26They went and served other gods, and they worshiped gods they had not known—gods that the LORD had not given to them.
Deuteronomy 29:27Therefore the anger of the LORD burned against this land, and He brought upon it every curse written in this book.
Deuteronomy 29:28The LORD uprooted them from their land in His anger, rage, and great wrath, and He cast them into another land, where they are today.’
Deuteronomy 29:29The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, so that we may follow all the words of this law.
Deuteronomy 30:17But if your heart turns away and you do not listen, but are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them,
Deuteronomy 30:18I declare to you today that you will surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.
Deuteronomy 31:28Assemble before me all the elders of your tribes and all your officers so that I may speak these words in their hearing and call heaven and earth to witness against them.
Deuteronomy 31:29For I know that after my death you will become utterly corrupt and turn from the path I have commanded you. And in the days to come, disaster will befall you because you will do evil in the sight of the LORD to provoke Him to anger by the work of your hands.”
Deuteronomy 32:19When the LORD saw this, He rejected them, provoked to anger by His sons and daughters.
Deuteronomy 32:20He said: “I will hide My face from them; I will see what will be their end. For they are a perverse generation— children of unfaithfulness.
Deuteronomy 32:21They have provoked My jealousy by that which is not God; they have enraged Me with their worthless idols. So I will make them jealous by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation without understanding.
Deuteronomy 32:22For a fire has been kindled by My anger, and it burns to the depths of Sheol; it consumes the earth and its produce, and scorches the foundations of the mountains.
Deuteronomy 32:23I will heap disasters upon them; I will spend My arrows against them.
Deuteronomy 32:24They will be wasted from hunger and ravaged by pestilence and bitter plague; I will send the fangs of wild beasts against them, with the venom of vipers that slither in the dust.
Deuteronomy 32:25Outside, the sword will take their children, and inside, terror will strike the young man and the young woman, the infant and the gray-haired man.
Deuteronomy 32:26I would have said that I would cut them to pieces and blot out their memory from mankind,
Deuteronomy 32:27if I had not dreaded the taunt of the enemy, lest their adversaries misunderstand and say: ‘Our own hand has prevailed; it was not the LORD who did all this.’”
